Holyrood Flowery Peko - Ceylon (Sri Lanka)
From the Dimbula region of Sri Lanka. Its teas are strong, full-flavoured and mellow with great clarity and richness. This is an ideal breakfast tea which can be enjoyed with or without milk.
Holyrood, one of the flagship estates of Talawakelle Plantations, is spread along the banks of the Kotmale Oya river which flows from the Horton Plains to Nawalapitiya where it joins the Mahaweli Ganga. The Holyrood Estate is on the morning side of the majestic Great Western mountain range at an elevation of 4400 feet. Its teas are regarded as being absolutely classic Dimbulas with all the most sought-after characteristics of the area - fresh, bright, rich, coloury and full-flavoured.
To Brew
Put one teaspoon of Holyrood tea into a warmed pot and add fresh, boiling water. Leave to brew for 4 minutes then strain into mugs or cups. Add milk and sugar or lemon as desired. This is an ideal tea for drinking in the morning with your breakfast.
